Life hasn’t been fair with Hasnain. He was only 3 months old when his mother left him.

It was then that my husband and I decided to take him under our care, to provide him with nourishment, and to offer him the best life possible. Initially, he was healthy when we took on the responsibility.

However, later on, he was struck by a life-threatening disease. Watching his condition worsen is heartbreaking for us. I don’t want Hasnain's smile to fade away.

But I’m entirely powerless in the face of a disease I cannot control.

As a one-year-old, Hasnain has already faced immense challenges in his young life. From losing his mother to battling a deadly tumor, it's heartbreaking to see him endure so much at such a tender age. He lives with me and my husband, Sayed, in a small place in Maharashtra.

Hasnain has a rare tumor in his eye that's affecting the soft tissue around it. This tumor might also be spreading into his skull. Because of this, his right eye is bulging outwards and to the side.

Over time, his head has continued to swell, and there are even instances when blood oozes out.

My husband works as a laborer, earning very little. The money we make is barely enough to put food on the table, let alone afford his treatment.

Although there was a short time when Hasnain seemed to get better, it didn't last long.

We tried going to many hospitals to find treatment, and we even got sonograms and x-rays done for him. But we couldn't afford to keep up with the treatment because of money problems.

We were so desperate for a cure that we listened to advice from friends and family and visited many dargahs hoping for his recovery. We were always torn between going to hospitals and seeking spiritual help. But sadly, none of our efforts worked out.

Before he got sick, he lived a happy life like any other kid, full of fun and laughter. But when the tumor came, everything changed suddenly.

He lost vision in one eye, which changed how he looks forever. Instead of people understanding and being kind, they make fun of him and say mean things, comparing him to having two heads.

As his parent, all I want is for my child to have a safe and happy future. But for that to happen, he needs medical help right away.

Now, we're here in Bangalore, trying to get help for my nephew. The total cost for his treatment is estimated to be around USD 45,455.00.

Paying for the treatment has used up all our savings, leaving us with nothing. My brother, who works as a low-wage laborer, is really worried about how we'll manage to pay for the rest of the treatment.

We've already borrowed money from friends and family and taken out loans just to start the treatment. But now, we've hit a point where we don't know where else to turn for help.

“Oh God, why must we face such trials? The gift of life you've given me is so precious. Please help me keep Hasnain smiling, help him grow as you intended.”

Time is running out. Hasnain needs treatment, and he needs it urgently.
